My basketball story began at age 13, when I became the ball manager for the girls varsity team at Dundee High School. I was a seventh grader tagging along with young women—and they affectionately called me “½ Pint.”

From that Dundee gym to an undefeated state championship season at Richwoods High School, Illinois State University and a summer with the Illinois Knights, basketball helped shape my confidence, character and approach to life.

Now retired from competition, I’m sharing the photographs, memories and lessons from a game that will always be part of me.
